What do I advise? Forget it all. Don't be afraid. Do what you get the most pleasure from. Is it to build a cloud chamber? Then go on doing things like that. Develop your talents wherever they may lead. Damn the torpedoes - full speed ahead! If you have any talent or any occupation that delights you, do it, and do it to the hilt.

Richard P. Feynman

Dear Young Scientists!

Do you live by the words of Richard Feynman, but no one wants to listen about your brilliant ideas anymore? Friends are simply fed up with being terrorized by your research stories, supervisors shut down the conversation about new project concepts with words Surely You're Joking?!, and even the university corridors, by some strange coincidence, suddenly become empty once the sound of your footsteps starts echoing around the corner... Or, quite the opposite, not everything goes according to the initial plan, and you would appreciate to get someone else's perspective on your research? No problem at all!

On the behalf of the Graduate Student Government of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the University of Silesia in Katowice, it is our pleasure to invite students, PhD candidates as well as young researchers to attend in the interdisciplinary conference SCIENCE BEYOND DISCIPLINES, which will be held on September 19th-20th, 2019. Following the eight-year-old tradition, the conference will take place at the Silesian Centre for Education and Interdisciplinary Research in Chorzow (Poland); however, the upcoming 8th edition will be particularly special, as – for the first time in its history – the conference will become an international dialogue between the young scientists. Therefore, do not hesitate to get in touch with your academia-related friends around the world, and help us to spread the word about this novel scientific event. We can guarantee an interdisciplinary and internationally acknowledged environment that will provide constructive feedback to your research and, above all, will stimulate the exchange of ideas within the fields of chemistry, physics or biology.

                                                                                   Looking forward to your attendance!

                                                                                              See you in September!

                                                                                              The Organizing Committee
